One of the best things you can to is to watch your kitties having fun with each other. Batting, hiding, hunting, and chasing each other are some of the activities, in any household, to bring life and laughter with joy. When you’re shopping for cat necessities, you’ll want to buy only quality products. Following is a list of the most suitable cat products on the internet.

The CatPetShop has the biggest scratcher toy inside the towerlike kennel houseroom is one of the best ways to entertain your feline. Its paw print plush exterior is as enjoyable for you to look at as its dual level construction and multiple tunnels are fun for your cats to explore. The price on the scratcher kennel is reasonable and it fits into any room in the home because it’s so small. It can even work as a sleeping hideout as well.

Is there anything better for your cat than a scratcher that stretches from the floor to the ceiling? Countenance no further than the “6ft Pet Cat Scratcher Thespian Dwelling Sanctuary Cave Bed Toy” from TheCatPetShop.com. The beautiful carpet, in lovely dark blue coloring, makes cats love its various levels, caves, poles, and other things. Playtime and fun never ends for your cats, if there are 6 separate nooks or corners for your cat to crawl and hide.

Sometimes when travelling with a cat, or simply waiting at the veterinary office, it may need a litter pan when none is at hand. TheCatPetShop proudly introduces its new, combined Igloo Cat Litter Tray and Cat Carrier.com. This litter tray and carrier earned our votes as one of the most clever products invented as it allows you to take your cat on trips without worry. Be aware to carry waste bags to clean the litter and whisk away yours cat’s waste.
When catnip enters the picture, that’s when the fun begins. Your cat will be bouncing off the walls while playing with their catnip toys, which are from small mice to rolling balls filled with this “magical herb”. cats will have lot of fun playing with ball cat toys along with spinning centres and cats take it as a challenge when they get to the centre And remember, you mustn’t leave out all the other wonderful items like cat tunnels, toy birds, and lots of things to bat at. To motivate the cats and to keep them active, many veterinarians recommend the usage of a variety of toys.

The Pet Mate, Fresh Flow Water Fountain Bowl (black and white are available) It is around 33 pounds and allows your pets to have fresh, filtered water at any time of the day. The flowing of water as well as the appearance of it flowing are enjoyable aspects of the fountain piece for cats. Kittens are easily intrigued by these fountains which insures that they drink plenty.

Cat collars keep your cat safe and stylish. Choose a collar that either has an elastic piece or a safety latch closure to allow for the collar to slip off of your cat’s neck if it gets caught on something. In case another person finds your kitty and needs to get a hold of you, you should choose a collar made out of reflective material and attach an ID tag to the collar.

To give your cat a happy and healthy life we should choose the best cat products. Select items that feature safety and keep your cat from being bored. Let’s hear it for a vibrant and happy cat!

If your cat wakes you all night because he thinks that your bed is his bed you might want to consider getting a cat bed. Cat baskets and cat beds can help you and your cat get a better night’s sleep because you both will have your own sleeping space. Cat baskets, beds, and sleeping accessories are readily available online can help you and your kitty start resting better tonight. Here are the top six types of sleeping products for cats.

Cat Pillows

Giving your cat their own soft pillow to sleep on can be a real treat! If your cat is a pillow sleeper as many are, a cat pillow can be the best way to keep your kitty snoozing through the night! A warm, soft pillow just for kitty can allow your cat to sleep up on the bed without disturbing your sleep. Look for cat pillows that can easily be thrown in the wash or that have a removable cover that can be washed and kept clean.

Cat Beds

Kitty beds give your cat a place to sleep that is their very own. Plush cat cave and igloo beds give your cat a place to hide under safe cover and snooze the day away. The soft material works like a magnet to attract your cat into its warm and cushioned interior. Some cat beds are open, circular rings with a soft, plush, removable center pillow pad. These beds are great for fitting multiple cats inside because they conform to the cat’s round back. You can also opt for a more fancy style of cat beds known as the couch sofa. One especially beautiful cat bed is the New Pet Cat or Small Dog Bed Cats Couch Sofa for House available online at The Cat Pet Shop.

Cat Basket Dens

There is no cat bed more elegant and functional than a large willow cat basket. They fit small dogs and cats and fit with the Snugglesafe Bruno Cushion Bed for Heat Pad. The heat pad cushion gives your cat the soft and puffy support needed to rest well while the Snugglesafe Microwave Pet Bed Warmer can go inside to provide gentle warmth for your cat. The sturdy willow basket will last for years and provide a beautiful compliment to any home decor.

Cat Radiator Beds

In the coldest months of the year, kitties can be bothersome coming in and out of their owner’s bed and disturbing their sleep. Why not give them the perfect place to sleep; over the radiator? With a radiator hammock cat bed shelf, your cat can settle in for the night right over the radiator and stay toasty warm.

Cat Blankets

Blankets that are just for kitty make them feel special and give them something to cuddle with and knead. Available in many designs and colours, soft blankets are easy to fold up and place into any basket or cat bed and they are easy to wash and never fussy.

Cat Window Mats

These handy mats make windowsill watching and sun warming even more special. These special mats transform your windowsill into a padded bed where your cat can lie in the sun and catch up on bird watching.
Sleeping time should be a time of rest, not a struggle with your cat for the blankets. Buying cat beds can solve that problem and give kitty a special place to call its own.

Cats have to sharpen their claws. They are not being purposely destructive, they are just trying to exercise their paws. Even domesticated cats have deep hunting and preying instincts that must be sharpened each and every day. If proper cat scratchers are provided to them, cats will be perfectly happy scratching on their cat play centre or scratcher tree! Mentioned below are the top three kinds of cat scratchers and the reason why each cat owner must have one (or several) while at the house.

Cat Scratching Pole

A scratching pole is a favorite among “scrathchers” due to its vertical nature. The majority of cats like clawing in an up and down position. A pole scratcher meets both needs admirably; an upright post with a covering of either sisal cord or carpeting, and a circular base suited to horizontal scratching exercises. Few poles also have some sort of a toy, pom-pom,or ball attached to the top to added fun and to induce the cat to use it for scratching rather than opting for clawing your furniture. If you see your kitty scratching an off-limits household item, simply go to your cat, pick it up, and place it near the scratcher. Some cats need encouragement; if so, place their paws on the scratcher to give them the right idea!

Cat Play Centre

Cat play centres offer more than a scratcher pole in that they generally have multiple levels to them so that vertical, ground-level, and diagonal scratching surfaces can be used. Kitties love hiding behind things. They will, in a minimum amount of space, offer your cat a broad spectrum of choices. It’s best to have a number of places scattered around the home where your cat is able to play and have fun. It is seen that some owners provide their cats with a cat scratcher pole, a cat play centre, and a scratcher tree which keeps their pets out of boredom.

Cat Scratcher Tree

The biggest (and lots of fun) The cat scratcher tree is the best option for a cat scratcher. Consider, for instance, the Victoria Kitten Cat Scratcher Tree.
Cats get easy entry if there are curves, any arches, multiple step levels and pole of scratcher. When Kitty tired cause of playing, the upper pedestal serves as the “purr-fect” napping place.
Do you have multiple cats in your home? If yes, go for light coloured carpets like that of neutral beige. A couple of other favorites include the Viana Cat Tree Activity Center Scratcher and the 68cm Murcia Cat Scratcher with Toy.
You can distract your cat from messing up your furniture by placing a scratching structure or a play toy near its’ favorite scratching spot. This would aid in retraining your cat’s mind to use the scratcher instead of the furniture! Huzzah for content claws as well as paws that are fit!

Without the proper cat litter and trays, a cat can create quite an unpleasant odour in the home. Choosing the right cat litter trays and cat litter is very important from the beginning. Knowing what kind of litter absorbs best, what kind of odour control works best, and what types of trays are available can be an easy choice when you know what to look for. These are things to consider when selecting litter and pans for pet cats.

You need to purchase cat litter that absorbs moisture and odor from your cat’s urine. If the litter is unable to manage these two issues, than the litter box will likely turn into an odor trap. No matter how many times you clean it, the smell can remain. Please even the most finicky cats with its comfortable texture and by stopping odours before they start. Moisture is irreclaimable departed into the granules, leaving an unsalted groom in its item. Keeping your cat trays clean helps you to keep your home have a clean smell.

Cat trays come in all shapes and sizes, both with and without covers. Normally people will show interest in buying the uncovered toilet tray for their kittens because they want their kittens can easily get in and out of the trays without hurting themselves.

However, when kittens grow into adulthood, covered toilet litter trays are often the preferred style. These kinds of trays ensure the safety and privacy of a cover and offer the added benefit of keeping litter odours in check. A few cat trays are available with lids and filters to check unwanted smell.

As odour control and bags can help owners keep their home from smelling like a toilet litter tray. A quick and easy way to dispose of cat waste so it doesn’t stay in the litter tray for too long.

Preparing for a new kitty is an exciting time! Give you curtain a break from your cat’s eager claws by providing her with a personal scratching post set by her favorite snoozing spot. This way, your cat will use the post instead of scratching your household items.

Trays and litter. You don’t want your cat using a corner of your living room as a latrine so always make sure you keep his litter box clean. In order to keep the scent of urine at a minimum between litter-box cleanings, it’s important to use an odor-absorbent, fast-clumping kitty litter. H2o fountains are also a major product to feature in the shelter because cats savor crunchy, graceful thing (this is the reason they enjoy drinking from a faucet so often). Put a filter on your water fountain and the water will remain fresh.

Cat Flaps and Nets: Recreation and Safety

The so-called “pet door” at the front giving easy access to the front porch has been redefined. Back then, we only had a manual door that was always that cute little square where the cat would always go out and in whenever it pleased. But my obsession for the hi-tech and safe stuff made me install something new for my dearest half-Persian cat – Crumpet. In the spirit of traditional cat flaps and nets we now have an electromagnetic cat flap!

The interesting part here is that Crumpet gets to wear an electronic ID on his collar that lets ONLY HIM get in and out of the house through the pet door. Neat huh? Out in our small yard he usually brings out his toys and catnip coaxing us to play around with him a bit and be active for the short durations of the day that he is playing around and being active. Especially in the times that we do need to leave him alone as we attend to more urgent things around the house, we can safely assume that Crumpet can go in and out of the house any time he wants to without falling off or being stuck via the pet door. Cat flaps and nets achieve this purpose quite well and therby puts the loving pet owner’s mind more at ease. (No – it is not true that a cat lands on its feet and is safe EVERY TIME after a careless fall.)

A note I have experienced in cat recreation: toys and catnip are good, but they do not provide recreation on their own. Cats play with humans and other living beings. Ignore this rule and you will find dirty dead mice hunted by your own cat! Cats are among the cutest and most adorable creatures on earth – but they are also predators. They are in fact, more carnivorous than dogs. If you read and compare the labels between dog food and cat food, you will find that cat food will definitely have more meat content and dog food a bit more vegetable content. Cats are cute but they are meant to pounce, hunt, play, scratch and the like.

The best way to approach cat recreation is to play with them yourselves! Hide the toys and catnip, let them sniff their way into finding it! Animate the mouse chew toy and let them wrestle and bite with it. This assures your cat’s well being and that they are indeed while domesticated, being what they are: CATS! The only difference between here at home and in the wild, is that they have the luxury of safety from the watchful pet owner’s eyes.

If you have a front porch and a grassy yard, an electromagnetic cat flap is highly recommended – I can vouch! If you have a balcony (we don’t) get a cat net. Cat flaps and nets are indispensable where they are applicable in my opinion. As for recreation, make sure you play with your cat regularly and be mindful of their safety. Crumpet scratched me this morning, so I guess he wasn’t being mindful of mine.

Cat Beds and other Cat Necessities

Well I’m here to discuss certain habits household cats have as pets. And if there is one continuous habit I’m sure all home grown felines have it is this: SLEEP. Yes, as much as I am very jealous of this indeed cats by nature, are entitled about more than twice the amount of sleep of humans. While we sleep about 1/3 of our lives, they sleep 2/3 of it! This is why cat beds as I have found, are very important – and I don’t mean just the ones bought off the pet store. The other thing is a nifty accessory pet stores have developed: bowls and fountains for drinking. Well we all know what a pet drinking bowl is for, but fountains are relatively new. I’m here to shed light upon these!

Well as I have found with my own pet cat, Crumpet a male half-Persian adopted for more than a year now, any location is practically a cat bed: for as long as he decides it to be. In many instances this is the kitchen carpet. Sometimes, it is my husband’s laundry (much to his dismay). Thankfully, at most times this is the ACTUAL cat bed we bought for him. In rare minute occasions it is still my own bed. What am I trying to point out here? Cats live mostly to sleep – and so as masters they can do it almost any way they wish.

Cat beds are still important – but don’t undermine the tastes of your cat if they don’t sleep on it often at first, or even if they don’t sleep on it at all. Don’t worry – they will find out what is comfortable for them (maybe not for you) and often this is the warmest, softest patch they could find around the house. And no – no couch is high enough for them not to sleep on it. This is exactly why we put the cat bed in the living room.

Bowls and fountains are essential too. Because as mammals we drink a lot of water. (Even non-mammals do this too). Bowls are what they are – simple and usually ceramic containers that cats will stick their tongues into to sip out the water. Now in order to keep the water fresh however, one would need to change the water in the bowl constantly. Automatic drinking fountains typically solve this problem – and it gives you the license to call your pet high-tech when they drink from it too!

Now probably comes one of the bigger issues to us pet owners: budget. Well, to be straightforward a certain pet shop online specializing in cats sells ideal cat beds for less than $30. This isn’t bad at all now is it? Bowls shouldn’t cost more than $10 or even $5 but a drinking fountain goes a bit above $30. Bowls and fountains of course, can be used together to add variety for the cat or to simply use the latter when you are away.

I hope this helps! Crumpet says HI!

I know that no one is perfect – every single person still has this one habit that he or she may have not gotten rid of from the juvenile years. My husband drinks out of the milk carton and eats out of the serving bowl. Yuck right? But what if I told you I still bit my nails? I know right? WHAAAT??!
Yeah and since I’m blogging about my pet, well my cat has a bad habit too: scratching. Yes, from the couch, to the lamposts and even the wallpaper Crumpet, my male half-Persian has left his indelible mark everywhere around the house. I resolved to buy cat scratchers and scratching tree posts a few months ago and that significantly reduced the problem.

It seems that no matter how much I tell Crumpet this and that, the normal cat instincts take over. I did a little bit of research and found out a good number of reasons why cats do this (other than to annoy their pet owners.) First, it is used to mark their territory. If this is so, then I DO prefer the way cats do it from the way dogs do it. (Hint: Fire hydrant). Secondly, it is to keep their claws sharp and their arm muscles usable for a good number of other things. If this is so, does that I mean I’m keeping my teeth blunt by biting my nails? (LOL!) The last reason is the simplest of all: it’s a cat thing! Humans kiss and make each other laugh, well cats post up on their cat scratchers and scratching tree posts – unless of course you don’t have any!

These accessories in particular, are ESSENTIAL in my opinion – essential for the well being of your cat, as well as your couch. Unlike dogs that you can leave tied outside or in a cage when while you are out, cats need their space to pounce around and do all of their cat things. This means that they WILL take a toll on your furniture and the curtains unless they have something more colorful, more scratchable and seemingly more appealing for them to sink their claws into.

This is where the cat scratchers and scratching tree posts come into play. These come in a variety of designs ranging from a furry stick in the middle of the living room to elaborate cat-scratching playgrounds. I’d say it would be good to find a specialist cat pet shop out there to maximize your choices as well as your budget. For Crumpet, I had to spend no more than around $50 for a bunch of these things around the house. Trust me when I say this will cost less than the well being of all the curtains, couches and chairs you have at home.

As I bite my nails while writing this (yes it is indeed possible to do that), I look at the veteran scratch post in this room having a momentary truce with a sleeping Crumpet. As my nails become horrible-looking, my husband is downstairs finishing the last milk carton. I guess we aren’t too bad – wonder if there is a product out there that can quell my natural nail-biting instincts?

On Cat Litter Trays and Sleeping on my Bed

I find it interesting how my own woman brain is all too much similar to how a cat thinks. Whereas dogs are more like men – careless, instinctive and straightforward; cats are more cunning, moody and refined. It is no mystery that cats are generally clean animals even before cat litter trays were invented. They groom themselves everyday, make sure their poo is carefully buried and they get 18 our of 24 hours of beauty sleep. This is why I had resolved not to avail any of those cat sleeping baskets and beds upon aquiring my male half-breed Persian cat – Crumpet because it seemed all right to have him sleep on my bed during the afternoons when I’m away.

However, my husband has been having a fuss lately about the cat hair on the bed. It seems that the shedding circulation of Crumpet’s long & silky strands has finally caught up with our willingness to clean it. As much as it breaks my heart to limit the cat litter trays outside the master’s bedroom and to only let Crumpet stay in with us while we are around, I knew I had to give in to my poor husband’s constant sniffing and annoyance. I guess it was time to get one of those sleeping baskets and beds.

I see them a lot actually – and I imagine some old lady giving these specially-refined cat couches to spoiled little kitties. But Crumpet isn’t at all like that actually – sure he’s moody and such but he doesn’t mind not being treated like the emperor around here. For as long as he gets what he needs such as enough food and a good sleeping space, he was okay. Also, I didn’t want any of those pink baskets that are usually made for a litter of kittens – Crumpet is 8 years old and would probably snort at me for treating him like a baby.

And so I decided in between work hours to browse some stuff in our local pet shop. Much to my dismay, a good number of these indeed cater to the granny market in which a kitty was literally turned into some sort of demi-god. I just wanted a place for Crumpet to sleep comfortably in and yet not be too fancy. So I went online and hit the jackpot – I found one that was just the right size and price at less than $20. It was white and greyish patterned that wasn’t too fancy and wasn’t too high either. It was perfect!

I’m glad I didn’t have to give in to those fancypants sleeping baskets and beds kind of idea while keeping my husband pleased that Crumpet wasn’t shedding around our room anymore. The cat litter trays were now in places where Crumpet could explore a bit more of the house and so far, it is working out just fine. The house is a little bit neater from shed cat hair since we clean more on the living room area anyway and my cat is as happy as Garfield sleeping the night (and day) away in his own little bed.

Cat Pet Shop at the Last Minute

Hi guys! This is a little story about me and the other love of my life, Crumpet – a furry white half-breed Persian cat I adopted a little over a year ago. Last October, I went on my first Halloween with him which meant that me and my husband would be flying from Los Angeles, California back to my native Philippines to visit my grandfather’s grave. Of course, I didn’t have the heart to leave my dear Crumpet behind. Thus, it was decided that it was time for a visit to the cat pet shop for his needs with regards to carriers and transport overseas.

Of course there were a good number of competent pet shops nearby. But I figured that for my Crumpet, I wanted everything to be easy on him. In his whole life, I don’t think he has ever flown on a plane before. (The previous owner was an old lady who had a gajillion cats – no way she could have flown with all of em!) Crumpet ain’t a young cat either – so I’m pretty sure new sorts of things would be coming as a shock to him. From the pressure of being on a plane to being caged without me or people he knew. Plus, the relatively cool and dry weather here in L.A. in contrast to the hot, humid weather back in my tropical homeland would surely give her the jeepers when we land.

And so it was decided that I consult with a specialized cat pet shop for any equipment they might have. I found one on the internet thankfully enough, and there were a good variety of carriers and transport products available too! It turns out that not all carriers are approved by airlines – it depends upon what specific model it is and the like. It was good to know that the company gave me a good list of approved carriers for Crumpet’s use.

What I obtained is a sturdy container with a good amount of secure space for my pet. It was shut by a steel cage opening on one side, but it looks really good all the way around much like material used in camping gear. I was happy to know that the inside was cushioned – and thus this added a lot of comfort and safety for Crumpet. There was also a feeding bowl on the front side of the cage. Basically, I was happy to know that this product among other pet carriers and transport was an all-in-one package that cost me less than $40 from the cat pet shop!

And so me, my husband and Crumpet who, assured by the airline staff that he would be in a safe spot wherever he was going to be back there, endured the 18 hour flight going to the Philippines. As I stepped out and greeted the familiar tropical rain upon arriving, I went up to Crumpet snuggled in her container who surprisingly, seemed okay from the endeavor. I’m glad for this little preparation that I did – why she actually looked better than we do from that long trip!
